Farzana Khan (Notting Hill)“To Whom It May Concern: This is my testimony for Mr George Mitrousis our maths tutor for the past two years. George teaches my daughter weekly now, who’s currently in year 8, while during the exam and holiday period we have had numerous lessons. I choose to do this for 3 factors (1) he is very well acquainted and comfortable with maths and has a comprehensive understanding of it (2) my daughter has made significant progress and has blossomed as a mathematician in her own right and (3) maths is the subject which, if left unattended for too long, you lag behind - losing the work put in. Therefore, I keep on top of this. When we met George my then 10 year old had an education gap due to her not attending mainstream school. George quickly recognised her deficiencies and worked with her, strengthening and reinforcing those areas. His character is perfect for our value system too - as we need a decent tutor who is respectful and sensitive to our household, with a little 4 year old running around. He is considerate, kind, focused, happy, jolly, intelligent, excited and enthusiastic about maths and has a robust patience with his students. My daughter enjoys her maths lessons with George and I love hearing 'Yes!' in the background when she solves a maths problem. The 11+ period was tough for someone who has not had schooling/lessons for over a year and she did extremely well in her maths examination and made the cut for 5 schools in London, including City of London and Francis Holland School: Regent's Park. I do believe having George as her tutor has maximised those offers due to her maths results! In fact, the tuition lessons we have undertaken has led to my daughter moving up from the second highest maths group in her class, in the beginning, to now being present in the top class - while her achievements in the subject led to being awarded a certificate with direct recognition and commendation from the Headmistress! This is in addition to George accelerating her learning such that she has been going through work academically 1 year in advance of her current standing; with further preparations to be made to tackle GCSE level maths. We have been so happy with George such that when mothers have seen the progression of my child's maths in a short period of time, they were also keen to select George as their maths tutor. Each one of them is constantly praising him. George is reliable, trustworthy and extremely good at maths and at teaching it. With this, he brings a positive energy and an essential positive attitude into our home. I am happy to recommend George and if you need any further information, please contact him for my details. Finally, please do not leave it too long as he will become very busy and you will kick yourself, as I found, often happens. When you find a good tutor, secure him before others do. Best wishes Farzana”

Yasmin (Holland Park)“George has been known to me for the past three years, he is an eager and excitable young man who has an ambition to be a very successful mathematician. In the past three years he has applied himself judiciously to tutoring my fourteen year old son Eamon (currently in year 10), who attends Holland Park School. With the support and encouragement from George, Eamon’s grades have been rising and consistently high, resulting in him moving up in his Maths lessons. As a result of this Eamon intends to take his GCSE Maths early (January 2016), with the help of George who has been a great inspiration to him and has not only played the role of a tutor, but also a mentor and older brother. George is a vibrant and enthusiastic young man, his enthusiasm is infectious and the fact that all around him want to listen to what he has to say. He is full of confidence and determined to succeed, and has therefore applied himself to this particular end.”

Jane Gyakyi (Holland Park)"To whom it may concern: Mr Mitrousis’s input to tutoring is always of the highest standard. He is currently a tutor to my son, a year 8 pupil at Holland Park School, where pupil’s expectations are set at a high standard. As a parent, I truly believe this supplement to education is of major benefit to my son’s learning and development. I have noticed a significant improvement in my son’s progress in Mathematics, since September 2015. He has grown in self-belief and approaches this subject area with self-confidence and a positive attitude to learning. Mr Mitrousis was only too willing to provide extra lessons for my son in preparation for his termly exams. I feel this is a reflection of my son’s current attainment levels and is testament to Mr Mitrousis’s dedication, commitment to teaching and subject knowledge. Mr Mitrousis has formed an excellent relationship with my son. He adopts a caring nature and is reliable and trustworthy. His interaction and lesson delivery is consistently positive and his feedback at the end of each lesson is much appreciated. I am delighted to have the opportunity to recommend Mr Mitrousis wholeheartedly and without reservation as a tutor to any future employer. Yours faithfully J.L. Gyakyi"

Michele (Battersea)"I decided to employ a tutor for my child to prepare him for his maths GCSE's and exam techniques. My son has been tutored by George for the past 8 months. He visited every week until the examinations and was always reliable. George has a Masters in Engineering making him well qualified. He is very supportive, patient and explains things properly and clearly until my son understands. He is excellent at explaining the theory behind the topics. He is very knowledgeable about GCSE material and always comes well equipped to the lessons with exam papers and a white board to show working out. George puts people at ease and my son has established a good rapport with him. He has gained confidence and knowledge as a result of the tutoring. He is expected to achieve a GCSE grade A. He also successfully passed the math entrance exam for HARRIS WESTMINSTER Sixth Form. Michèle"

Susan (Maida Vale)"I am more than happy to recommend George who has been tutoring my daughter for 5 months, who is in year 9. I have no complaints at all and pleased I found him since he has proved to be both reliable and passionate about the subject matter. There has been a significant improvement in my daughters understanding of mathematical methods and as a consequence her confidence in the subject has grown and she is no longer resistant to learning and overcoming some areas she finds challenging. George is extremely professional and prepares for lessons in advance and gone over exam tests which my daughter will be undertaking in year 10 as she towards her GSCE’s. I would say George has a good rapport with my daughter and been able to connect and keep her interested in her learning and having a good sense of humour has been helpful. I am of the view this is very important as teenagers can easily disengage however George has been able to maintain her interest in the subject and move forward in the learning objective."

S.M. (North Acton)"To whom it may concern: George tutored my two daughters, in Year 10 and Year 11, in the lead up to their end of year exam and GCSE respectively. He is a diligent and empathetic tutor, who managed to cover all the necessary topics in the limited time available, as well as thoroughly going through past GCSE papers. George has a very pleasant personality, a very positive attitude and gave my daughters the encouragement to approach their exams methodically and with confidence. Both had very good exam results, including an A grade at GCSE. I have no hesitation in recommending George as a maths tutor."

Verica Trivunovic (Aylesbury)"George has been tutoring my daughter over two academic years for GCSE and A-level where I have noticed a significant improvement in her confidence and ability when tackling questions, such that she has risen to be one of the most able in her class. As a tutor he is always on time, provides the needed stationary and work material and has his lessons planned out as he has an excellent understanding of the curriculum. I found that George has been very good at building a rapport with her, and has made approaching the work not seem daunting at all putting her at ease. When dealing with myself as a parent, I find that he lays things out clearly such as my daughter’s strengths and weaknesses, her progress and what to expect for next lesson. As well as issuing her homework. We live in Aylesbury and after being recommended by a friend from London about George’s performance, I can honestly say that travelling all that way to have lessons at an agreed venue has been absolutely worth it!"

K.C. (St John’s Wood)“George tutored my son for his Maths GCSE. We were lucky enough to have George helping my son for a year. In this period, the teachers (UCS school, London) noted a marked improvement in his performance both in the classroom and with homework pieces set. He also gained a lot more confidence during his time with George, and as a result was able and willing to tackle tasks that previously he wouldn’t have attempted. The main reason that George succeeded with my child was his ability to engage with him at his level and inspire in him the desire to do well. He connected with him personally too which made my son want to perform well. His narrative is relevant and my son looked forward to his sessions. As well as being a good role model and teacher for my son, George ticked all the boxes from a parents’ point of view. He was reliable. He was punctual. He updated me weekly on my sons’ progress. His familiarity with the syllabus set my mind at ease and he was keen to go over topics that my son was weak in. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending George as a maths tutor. He is fantastic.”

Catherine Ingram (Barbican)“George is a fantastic tutor. He is a lovely person to be around. He's punctual and a great communicator-he sends an email after each lesson outlining what work they've done, any problem areas and the homework. Most importantly, he is an outstanding teacher and my son really enjoys his lessons. In fact, my son comes out of his lessons energised and he says that George explains things very well. His marks have improved a lot- his last test was 100 percent! I recommend George without hesitation. He's a brilliant maths tutor."

Mr Tullis (Wimbledon)"I have to compliment you on your approach as [my son] has really enjoyed your tutorials and I've seen him for the first time enjoying Maths - it's a pity we found you so late."
